This index is used to measure the happiness level of people from 7 main indicators such as per capita gross domestic product, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to choose lifestyle, generosity, perception of corruption and comfort. Using an analytical method, this paper deals with a critical investigation of this index with an Islamic approach and assessment of its ability to evaluate the level of happiness in Muslim societies. According to the research findings, the global happiness index is not compatible with Islamic teachings in terms of the definition of the concept of happiness and vitality, and the proposed components. Hence, this index cannot provide a reliable tool for a true image of the level of happiness in Islamic societies and, consequently, their degree of progress. The compilation of an index of happiness in an Islamic approach involves the extraction of Islamic components of happiness, and the presentation of a new composite index to measure it. یکی از جدید ترین شا خص های مورد استفاده برای ارزیابی پیشرفت جوامع، «شاخص جهانی شادی» است. این شاخص برای سنجش سطح شادکادمی افراد از 7 نماگر اصلی همچون سرانه تولید ناخالص داخلی، حمایت اجتماعی، امید به زندگی سالم، آزادی در انتخاب زندگی، سخاوت، ادراک فساد و آسایش خاطر استفاده می نماید. در این مقاله، با استفاده از روش تحلیلی، به بررسی انتقادی این شاخص با رویکرد اسلامی و ارزیابی توانایی آن جهت ارزیابی سطح شادکامی در جوامع مسلمان می پردازیم. بر اساس یافته های پژوهش، شاخص جهانی شادی از جهت تعریف مفهوم شادی و نشاط و همچنین مؤلفه های پیشنهادی با آموزه های اسلامی سازگاری ندارد. از این رو، این شاخص نمی تواند به عنوان یک ابزار قابل اعتماد تصویر درستی از سطح شادکامی در جوامع اسلامی و در نتیجه میزان پیشرفت آن ها ارائه نماید. تدوین شاخص شادی در رویکرد اسلامی مستلزم استخراج مؤلفه های اسلامی شادکامی، و ارائه شاخص ترکیبی جدیدی برای سنجش آن است. https://marefateeqtesadi.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefateeqtesadi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/6_5.pdf
