Determining fair wages for workers is one of the challenging issues in the country's economic policy-making system. In this context, the question arises as to what is a fair wage and what components should be used to determine it. This article uses an analytical method to examine the foundations of wage determination in Islamic economics and the principles governing the determination of the minimum wage. Based on the research findings, determining the minimum wage, although not directly mentioned in religious texts, is consistent with the general principles of social justice in Islam. In the Islamic economic approach, justice in paying wages does not only include its amount, but is also related to the time and method of payment. Factors affecting wage determination in Islamic economics include components such as employee characteristics, job characteristics, market factors, and compensation methods. These components can determine the framework for wage determination in the Islamic economic approach in the form of a holistic method based on ethical principles. In this study, wage determining factors are introduced within the framework of Islamic economic thought.
